Introduction

Resume Builder by Higher Math makes it possible for you to create a simple, attractive yet richly interactive resume in html. The finished resume can reside on a website or can be sent via email. It is all contained in one file, so it is not necessary to have access to a website for potential employers to find out about you.

For less advanced job boards and attachment-phobic email recipients, you can have your resume produced in text format as well--even directly to the clipboard for pasting into job board web forms.

You can also export the resume in Word format, if you have Word installed on your machine.

  • Resume Builder takes advantage of newer developments in web technology so requires at least Intenet Explorer 6.0 (to create or view the resume) or Netscape 6.2 (to view it). Your data is encapsulated in the widely recognized XML format, making it easy for employers and job shops to extract the most relevant data and incorporate it into their searchable databases. The resume is created dynamically from the data when it is loaded into the browser.

To create your resume, you don't need to deal with html, xml or javascript. All you have to do is enter each of your "job assignments" with start and end dates, the name of the company (or institution), its location and some general comments. Then for each job assignment, choose one or more selections from several job description categories. You can create your own categories and selections within these categories to better describe your acquired skills.

Any time you like (for the first 14 days in the shareware version), you can see exactly how your resume will appear in the browser by clicking "View in Browser". Note that only one color scheme will be used in the shareware version. For only $12.95, we are happy to provide you with a version that allows you to personalize your color preferences to one that will represent you best. If haven't already done so, choose 'Order Full License' from the Help menu to make your copy fully functional.
