intermixed - rich text - copy
This is the "intermixed -
rich text - copy" section. The text
area may contain both scrambled and non-scrambled data. You can choose the settings/tools tab. Or you can choose one of the “from where”
tabs. Once you have chosen a “from
where” tab, you will be allowed to specify how to copy, where to copy it, and
what to copy:
"help" - to get assistance.
"settings/tools" - to enter your personal preferences
for doing copying in the single intermixed (scrambled and non-scrambled) rich
text area.
"from text area" - to copy data from the
single intermixed (scrambled and non-scrambled) rich text area. Check the status of the rich text area by
clicking "Refresh" in the appropriate panel. The first number is how many characters are
in the rich text area. The second tells
the current cursor position within the text.
The third is how many characters are currently selected
(highlighted). The fourth tells how many
scrambled sections appear to be in the text area. Knowing the status helps you choose what to
copy.
"from clipboard" - to copy from data you have
already pasted into the system clipboard (via a prior "cut" or
"paste" operation). Check the
status of the clipboard by clicking "Refresh" in the clipboard
panel. The three panes tell whether the
clipboard has rich text, plain text, or HTML.
Knowing the status helps you choose what to copy.
"from file" - to be able to choose a file
that will be copied to the area of your choosing.
Note that if you copy plain
text into the rich text area, it will not be completely "plain". Plain text simply carries no formatting with
it. However, when you paste plain text
into a location that has formatting (such as into the rich text area), the
plain text will take upon it the formatting of the text next to it. If there is no formatting next to it, it will
take upon it the default formatting of the rich text area.
