intermixed - plain text - help

This is the "intermixed - plain text - help" section.  The text area may contain both scrambled and non-scrambled data.  Once the plain text area contains data, you may scramble and unscramble all of it or sections of it.  Here you can obtain help for working in the in the single intermixed (scrambled and non-scrambled) plain text area.

You can read the supplied help.  You can also get more help, read about the product, or go to the web site for assistance.

You can also choose one of the other tabs:

"settings/tools" - to enter your personal preferences for working in the single intermixed (scrambled and non-scrambled) plain text area.

"copy" - to manipulate data to and from the text area, the system clipboard, and files.

"scramble" - to scramble non-scrambled sections.  You may choose to scramble all of it if the entire contents are currently non-scrambled.  Or you can select (highlight) certain sections and scramble them individually.  You can use your default scrambling password (supplied in the general "settings/tools" area or in the "intermixed - settings" area) or you can use a different password for each scrambled section.  You can preview the scrambled data before replacing the non-scrambled section, or simply choose to look at the scrambled result and leave it non-scrambled.

Note that if you have a shareware copy of the product, you will not be able to do scrambling of text (among other things…).  You will be able to unscramble messages sent to you.  Only owners of registered (purchased) versions are allowed to do scrambling.

"unscramble" - to unscramble any scrambled sections of the text area.  If the scrambled sections are consistent (meaning each has a beginning and ending tag), the drop-down box will list all known scrambled sections.  (Press "Refresh" under the plain text area status to verify/refresh the list of scrambled sections.)  If the cursor is inside a scrambled section when the text area status is refreshed, that section will be selected in the drop down box.  Even if the scrambled sections are not consistent, at least the one section that contains the cursor, if it is consistent, will appear in the drop-down selection.  Press "Highlight Section" to highlight the selected section.  You may also manually select scrambled sections and request to unscramble them.  You can unscramble all known scrambled sections (if they were scrambled with the same password) all at once.  You can bump through each section one-by-one.  You can preview the unscrambled data before replacing the scrambled section, or simply choose to look at the unscrambled result and leave it scrambled.  You can use your default unscrambling password (supplied in the general "settings/tools" area or in the "intermixed - settings" area) or you can use a different password for unscrambling each section if needed.

Note that the highlighting of sections is also available in the "copy" portions of the application.  You can choose to highlight (select) any section you want (scrambled or non-scrambled) and can copy it directly into the clipboard.  Then, for instance, you could go to the "separate" portion of the application (where you maintain wholly-scrambled data in one text area and wholly non-scrambled data in another).  And in that section you could copy what you just placed in the clipboard into a text area to work with it.
